Ever since I was a little kid, Ive always wanted a VR4, it was even my favorite hot wheel as a kid! When i turned 16 in 2001 i couldnt afford one for the life of me. But i did however find its predecessor..a rare 1988 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R with only 12k original miles, so i scooped it up! loved the car to death besides the typical 80's mitsu issues..this made me want a vr4 even more..this beauty was purchased brand new by my friends father in-law in 1992. He was an executive for a large oil company and hardly drove the car and kept it garaged and maintained by reputable mechanics. In Jan. 2010 i got a phone call saying the transfer case had blown and that the shop he had it taken to sold the transmission ot from under him and gave him the run around...long story short..he decided he was too old to deal with sports cars and wanted a luxury car so he sold me this for dirt cheap without a transmission with only 74k miles on it. I ordered a tranny and tc from japan and installed it in my own garage by reading these forums for weeks! Now this baby is running and is being slowly modded piece by piece!
