I bought this car very soon after my father died in May of 2015. I was 16 years old the first time I ever saw the ocean (which I had dreamed of as a kid for years. My father randomly drove me to a beach in a Florida town called Sarasota. It was one of the best memories I had with him. The significance to that little story is that this car was originally sold in Sarasota Florida, in 1999. When I first discovered this, I was instantly attached to the car sentimentally. Digging through the Carfax, I had found that this after it was bought in 1999, it was then taken to California where it was sold and bought a few times until it came into the hands of the owner of South Coast Mitsubishi who used it as a show room piece in his dealership. For unknown reasons, he decided to sell the car. I instantly sent $5000 to him to hold it for me, flew out, and bought the car. Before I knew it, I was now the 5th owner of number 134 of 287 1999 VR-4's with only 37,000 miles on it, bone stock. Currently, it has 40,500 miles. I have installed coilovers, new wheels, and tint but is otherwise all original and in impeccable condition. I saved all the OEM parts to convert it back it stock if I ever want to. This is my dream car.
