History
Bought in October 2007 with engine problems. Engine would crank over but not start. Dealership quoted the previous owner 6K+ to fix.
This was my first twin turbo car, so I was anxious to dig in. A compression test revealed only 30 psi on one cylinder so I pulled the engine on a cold december day. The timing belt idler pulley froze and released all the ball bearings, loosening the timing belt which then bent some valves.
I decided to go 4 bolt and use the VR-4 shortblock in a Stealth I purchased that had broken ring lands and cylinder damage.
Previous owner had just installed a new clucth and rebuilt Kormex trans with 300M output shaft, but this latest problem was too much for him.
In 2008 I rebuilt the Stealth and VR-4 engines. The stealth is stock and the VR-4 with forged internals and 13Ts.
