i would recommend that you pull the oil filter and take a look inside

If you are referring to the factory center gauge, then that is actually oil pressure. Assuming that both factory sending units are installed and no warning "dummy" light has illuminated on the cluster, then try cleaning the connector for it. If the connection is not firm, then you may need to adjust or "tighten" the connector.

Worst case scenario is the gauge reads true and chaos has ensued... should be evident with your oil change intervals for break-in.

2 Year Build Almost Complete with a question?

After 2 years my 91 TT is on the road, got 50 miles under her belt and come a cross a few issues.

few rattles and clunks, going to get it up on a ramp to sort them but my question is that the oil temp only goes up 1/3 and at idle drops down to the bottom.

Any ideas what this could be?
