Default Yet another wheel fitment thread

This is my first time ever buying aftermarket wheels and I need a little help. I'm looking at SSR GTV01s due to them clearing 1st gen calipers. I've found a thread where a someone got GTV01's in 18x8.5 +40 and they fit over his 1st gen brakes just fine. I'm actually thinking of going either 9" or 9.5" wide and just need some advice on the clearances.

The 18x9 come in a +35 offset and this calculator shows they will be further from the strut and poke 17.4mm(.68") more than stock.

The 18x9.5 come in either +22 or +45 offset. the +22 would obviously poke way too much(almost an inch and a half). The +45 have more manageable poke 13.7mm, but sit 11.7mm closer to the strut.

I'm currently on stock ECS suspension with plans to probably upgrade to tein coilovers down the line. I'd like to fit the wider 9.5" wheels, but I'm not sure if they will clear the struts without spacers. I've looked all over the forums and can't find anything really definitive as far as how much strut tower clearance there is from stock. Any advice you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
