Question Right cv axle part number for local part store?

I'm in the process of replacing the passenger side cv axle for another board member who has a 91 SL. So far i have been given the AWD axle and the 25 spline axle(or at least i think it was the 25 spline...i know it was to big). I just need the right part number for either Auto Zone, NAPA, Oriley(sp?) or if i had to i could go find a pep boys. So far i know Napa and oriley have the wrong part number in their computers. The funny thing is they both swear its the right part .

Know i'm starting to get pissed off. Make that three shafts that i have gotten that didn't work. The side that goes into the tranny is always to big. Has anybody else had this similar problem. Maybe it would be worth it to take it to a shop and let them find the right part. I really don't feel like sending my friend someplace when i know i can do it in 30 mins if i just had the right part.

Drew, Does the Advance/Discount Auto down by you carry them instock? Or are they an overnight item? Just curious cause I work at one up here and I have to order mine from PA.

no advance auto's around here. I found a shop that will just take the old one and rebuild it for $60.

Most are overnight, but I believe a store in Tampa stocks them. Everything has been changing constantly since the merger(buyout?) w/ Discount.

I ordered mine overnight.
