Default Who likes Knock Knock jokes?

cause i certainly dont.

Well there goes another spun bearing.

Not sure what killed it, did a hard pull and knock knock knock and lost about half oil pressure.

Luckily i caught it fast and shut it down, so engine should be a good candidate for a rebuild.

Any suggestions mods and upgrades i should add to my list?

current short list is

-adjustable cam gears
-upgraded valve springs with a head refresh
-forged rods and pistons
-new oil pump
-ARP studs top and bottom

End goal for the motor will be to have it ready to handle 600whp.

Cam gears are nice provided you actually degree your cams...
Stock valve springs are more than adequate unless you install big cams.
Forged pistons and good aftermarket rods are a great idea.
Definitely a new oil pump
ARP head studs are a waste of money. Not an improvement over stock bolts. Main studs on a 4 bolt are not needed at your intended power level, and would probably not be needed until you're beyond the capability of the stock crankshaft.

The main thing to be considered is cleanliness... EVERYTHING that is lubricated with engine oil must be dissembled/cleaned, flushed etc... That means: all the oil galley plugs in the heads have to come out, turbos need to be gone through or replaced, oil cooler and lines need to be flushed or replaced, etc...

yeah everything will be cleaned and returned to a like new state, don't want any magic sparkles hiding in there anywhere.

cam gears are exactly so i can degree the cams as it will be getting a full tune with the DR 750's and the heads and block planed (will likely go with the thicker Cometic MLS gasket to account for the change in height)

what RPM are the factory springs good for with stock cams? the springs will be replaced regardless as they have 160,000 miles on them now. If reasonable i would like to be able to have an 8k redline
