Default No fuel, no spark, no hot at crank sensor

Alright guys,
Long time fan first time poster here

I've had my 93 dodge stealth R/T NA for about a year now...
Bought her with a blown timing belt
Had the heads machined and rebuilt
All new gaskets
All new timing set
New crank sensor...

Once I got her running I found out all of the other problems with the car (clutch going out, cv shafts, 3rd and 4th synchros, A/C etc etc etc)

Couple weeks ago I bought a 93 3000gt for a parts car

Once I started tearing into it I realized it was in way better shape than my stealth and started contemplating dropping my engine in it.. I pulled the spark plugs and what's underneath but brand new pistons? Hmmmm

So I pulled my timing set, as well as cam and crank sensors off the stealth and installed in the gt.. no start... it seems to be getting signal from the crank sensor because I can see the tach flicker when I crank it...went out and bought a leakdown tester and find out valves are bent....

So now I pull my heads off the stealth and install on the gt along with plug wires, injectors, coil packs, upper and lower intake manifolds, new gaskets.

Crank, no start

No tach flicker, pulled front 3 spark plugs and I'm not getting spark out of any... using a test light I'm not getting hot thru the crank or cam sensor harness with the key on.... if I put the ground from my test light on the hot side of my battery I get a light from the hot and the ground side of the crank sensor harness so that tells me I'm getting ground from both...

Sorry for the long post but I'm trying to give as much info as possible...

I'm banging my head on the wall, I know I'm close

Can anyone point me in a direction?

Thanks guys y'all are rock stars

Guess I'm gonna pull the ecu out of the stealth and see if that makes a difference...

Ok so I finally found my volt meter...

I'm getting .18v thru the hot, ground has continuity, with the engine cranking I'm getting nothing from the signal wire...

Could it be the crank sensor? It was working fine in the stealth... i replaced it when I bought the stealth but it still had spark even with a bad sensor

This is a problem, indicates MFI relay is not closing with switch on or blown #1 dedicated fuse in relay box under hood (IIRC marked as ECI on box cover).

Might start with following ECU pin voltage checks (sv stands for battery voltage).

Edit: Little clearer pin location here (first one for your car)

Thanks for the reply white93gt

The MFI relay is the gold box mounted on the passenger side on the center console? I switched that out too when I did the ECU...

I'll double check fuses and pin voltage and get back to you

Just to be clear the .18 volts I'm getting is thru the red wire on the crank and also the cam sensor harness

Understood…. and that should read battery voltage with key on, if #1 dedicated fuse is feeding B+ to MFI relay and power delivery side is of relay closes when switch turned on. That means many components are not getting B+ voltage needed to work.

I don’t recall if MFI relay is gold or not, but yes mounted on passenger side of console basically just right of radio. It’s actually two relays in one container.

Edit: It is gold picture attached.

Ok here it is...

Backup power supply (pin 60) 12v

Power supply (pins 12&25) both .19v

Ignition switch (62) 0v

Control relay, power supply (108) 12v on or off

Control relay, fuel pump (8) .11v key on, idling unknown

Sensor impressed voltage (61) 0v

ECI fuse is good with 12v

Yes that's the MFI relay I changed out when I did the ecu

OK… It appears problem getting power thru MFI relay to ECU pins 12&25, but with 12v at (108) looks like there is power at MFI pin 10 (Red wire with black stripe) but not leaving MFI on pin 4 (Black wire with red stripe) to ECU pins 12&25. (see attached print)

Do all these checks at MFI relay plug…..Check for 12v on (Red/Black wire) to pin 10 (should be 12v key off or on). With key ON check (Black/red wire) pin 4 and (Red wire) pin 5 (should be 12v both).

If 12v not at MFI pin 4&5…. Run temporary ground wire from (Blue wire with green stripe) pin 8 of MFI plug, turn switch on and see if relay closes and supplies 12v to pin 4&5 wires.
Edit Important: Do NOT leave temporary ground wire on (Blue wire with green stripe) after test for power to pins 4&5. Actually relay should close even without switch on, which could cause battery drain if left for very long period.
