Default New Owner of a 1992 Red VR4

Hi all. I have been a registered member for awhile but did not get my car until recently. Picked up a 1992 Red VR4 with 70k miles that spent the last many years as a weekend cruiser.

Going through all the normal items for a 30 year old car. Ripped out an old non-OEM car alarm, fixed my digital climate control (My DCC Thread), replaced ECS and ECU capacitors, bled clutch, replaced fuel filter, removed and greased front active aero motor, and reconnected broken boost gauge and A/F gauge pod.

Car had a greddy profec B spec 1 (dial knobs), apexi super AFC (again dial knobs), apexi dual super megaphone exhaust, and greddy turbo timer already in it.

Next steps are the 60k service (unknown if/when it had ever been done), all driveline fluids, vacuum line redo while keeping the EGR for now (couple questionable connections to my boost gauge), and then an audio upgrade (diamond hex components up front, MMATS hifi6150D, and IDQ12 sub).

I love the car so far as I have wanted one for years, but it was not practical for my only vehicle. I still have a hard time with the clutch on this guy from a dead stop. Much pickier than the other manuals I drive and so much so I am questioning if I have a minor issue at idle/low RPM.

Lastly, my profile only allows 5 private messages. Is there some step I missed to get that increased?

I wonder if the clutch is a solid hub/disk? They are much more difficult to manage from a stop. There's nothing wrong with them you may just have to get used to it. They are great for drag launches, though! Just watch out for your output shaft, haha.

I guess I have no clue, it could be. The previous owner said they never changed it, so I guess I assume everything is stock. I don't plan to do many launches. I got the car because it was one of my childhood dream fun cars to have, but I'm past the stage of drag racing

Both of mine are like that as well. The clutch takes a lot more finesse to get rolling than any other vehicle I've driven. Different clutch disks and pressure plate combos with yield variations in engagement and pedal effort.
It's actually become a source of entertainment for me when I let someone else drive. Doesn't matter how much experience they have driving manuals, they always struggle.

Thanks for the feedback on the clutch and private messages. I have plenty of questions across a variety of topics, so my post count should go up if I can't find the answers in search.
