Question Visor mirror lights don't work

None of the lights on either of my visors work. I found the wiring diagram on 3SX but it doesn't seem to include them. Anyone know where the fuse is for these, or where the wiring runs?

The wiring diagram is in volume two of the 92-96 pdf, page 54-84.

They share the same fuse as the glove box light and under-hood inspection light, however none of them will turn on unless the tail-light relay is on (so the headlight switch can't be off).

That explains a lot of things..... Thank you for addressing my ignorance, lol.

Now that I have the headlight switch on the passenger side works, but the driver's side does not. The bulbs seem to be fine. I guess I'll take the whole visor out and apart then have a look at it.

I'm the original owner of my 99 3kgt SL and it always bugged me that the visors were the plain (no lights) model (I traded in an 83 supra that had illuminated visors!) so I found a barely used set from a 98 VR4 on ebay and my husband installed them about four or five years ago, connecting to the overhead map lights. They work great!

That is kind of odd that they would cheap out on something as simple as that!
I fixed mine the day I posted this. The little metal contact that causes the light to turn off when you shut the flap was stuck down. I managed to get it working properly again.

Yup, Mitsubishi cheaped out, even on the last year the car was made, with budget visors (sliding mirrors). I lived with it for several years until I decided to search ebay and found a couple of sets. The set I got just needed a little cleaning, but were in great shape otherwise.
