Default Stolen Car Cover

It never ceases to amaze me why some people steal the stuff they do. I've kept my '94 3000GT covered from just about day one with never a problem. Have owned it for 25 years and gone through a few car covers, all made by Covercraft. I've had an Evolution Cover, two Noah Covers, and my 4th Weathershield HD cover that was about a year and a half old just happened to disappear on Saturday the 6th right around dark. Damn thieves are getting pretty bold to remove your car cover right in front of your house when it's barely dark! Had it tied down front, center and rear, and they even took my bungie cords! It even takes me a while to take the cover off and to top it off the car alarm was on! It's pretty sensitive and I never even heard a chirp! Guess I'll need to chain and lock the next cover I get!

I am REALLY sorry to hear about this Bob.
I rarely use my cover (winter IN the garage), but I used to take it and USE it at all the NG's I went to.
Sad to say, I would lock it each night. Even though I was with fellow "enthusiasts".

This world will never change.
There are people out there with the mentality: "What ever is mine is mine, and what ever is yours is mine"

Remember one thing, KARMA is a bitch...

Bob.

Thanks Bob. I'll be sure to use cables and locks on the new one. If nothing else just as a deterrent. $400.00 for a new cover is certainly not chump change to a retired guy like myself. Oh well, Top Ramen Noodles for a couple months I guess! Lol! These cars are worth it!

Got a bit of good news today. My insurance company is buying me a new cover under my comprehensive coverage with zero deductible. When I bought the car new I also bought a Mitsubishi Car Cover (Dealer Option). That made the cover become part of the car and it was covered under the Auto Policy. Normally my Home Owners would cover things like that but with a $500 deductible it didn't really help. Glad I mentioned that to the adjuster....that I purchased the cover from the dealer when I purchased the car.
