Default Stock Boost Gauge Sending Unit ?

I know that the stock boost gauge is crap, and I do have an aftermarket A-pillar gauge. But I had a tuner shop do my AEM install and it looks like they disconnected the stock gauge. I just want to get it running - just because. But, I can't find any info on the stock sending unit - where it is, and how it's supposed to be set up. Any help out there? Thanks !

The stock boost gauge is a "load meter" that the stock ecu uses engine load to simulate a boost gauge. It stopped working when the stock ecu was removed. There may be a clever way to drive it from an AEM output, but I don't know anyone that has done it.

I did have my AEM series 2 set up to drive the stock boost gauge with a spare PWM output, but it always made a bit of a buzzing sound no matter what frequency I drove it at. Overall probably not worth the hassle.

Thanks guys - that makes sense then. Too much work to swap out the useless gauge so I'll just leave it as is.
