Default Questions about automatic tranny setup

So I am getting ready to try to torque this 4 star prong thing at 54lbs since that's what the longer flywheel bolts get torqued to.
Questions-
1 is this on correctly?
2 how can I hold it in place while I torque the 8 bolts?
3 should I use lock tight or anything?

Default Re: Questions about automatic tranny setup

1: Been a while since I did a flex plate brings me back to 2012 with my 1st 3000. If you look at 23-65 in the service manual it looks like you have it correct and I found a pic of when I pulled my 1st auto trans on my 1st 3000 and it looks the same as how you have it.

2: I would try putting a long screw driver maybe in one of the holes on the flex plate and rotate it till the end hit the engine. Or somehow use a prybar.

3: I've never used locktight on a flex plate or flywheel and I've never had a problem.
