CEL code 43 - EGR (bad solenoid, in my case))
(This is a just a PSA for EGR solenoid id tips.)
Chasing a code 43 several years ago, I replaced the valve itself and the temp sensor. Code came back. This time I pulled the vacuum solenoid.
I think it has been suggested before, but the manual does not picture the solenoids correctly (for '94, at least). The EGR is the one with two vac ports; one connects to "E" on top of the throttle body (green line), and one connects to "A" on top of the throttle body (yellow line). On my car, it was not one of the two solenoids mounted upright... it was mounted sideways.
In my case, it is junk as there is no continuity across the solenoid coil.
Anyone have a used, working one laying around? MD126812 (K5T47172 molded into the side)
