I made a new mod, which works pretty well, on my SL. I am not the best at explaining so I will tell you and then if you post it you
can most likely explain it better. Here is what I did:
1. I took the 4 nuts off which hold the Strut Cover down to the car
2. Take the Strut Cover off
3. Get one of the metal pieces, which is on the backs of all computers. These metal pieces take the place of empty slots in the computer. You would have one of these left over if you placed a new board in your computer.
4. Bent the metals piece into a C or a box without one side.
5. Drilled 2 holes in the metal bent piece
6. Attach the front tip of the strut cover to the metal piece by using the bolt that is on the strut cover and the nut.
7. Bolted the metal piece through the original hole of the hood. (The hole where the strut cover's bolt went through.
8. Placed the two rear nuts on and tightened.
This allows for the back of the strut cover to be down and the front up so all the air will be directed into the engine. The interesting part is under the strut cover, there is a lip which is directed so it send the air right ontop of the air filter. It looks great
and works great. I suggest doing both to keep the car looking the same on either side, plus it adds more air into the engine.
