i was thinking about designing one and just putting it up on cafepress. basically you design it and they sell it, so no mess, no fuss, anyone who wants one buys one...no messing with paypal or getting reembursed.

I respectfully and WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree, this scenario is a tad bit too mercenary for my taste.

Last I checked, gatherings were about getting together and sharing a common interest, not about creating a platform to allow a member to take advantage of a "merchandising opportunity".

I like that idea too. You can have it before the meet, u can order as many as you like, other ppl can order them. Any size u want. Its gotta be one official shirt, Dont want the whole world start designing thsirts and putting it on cafe press.

All I ask is that you run the design thru the appropriate channels. Are u a graphics designer? Last year a lady on the baord designed it , her name is Traci Bandelin she also did the t-shirt for the NG.

How much woud a t-shirt be on cafe press? It needs to stay int he range of $10 - $15. Any profits from it should go back to the organizing committee or go towards a BBQ or something.

The minimum I have seen shirts on cafepress is $22 plus shipping. Again, as I said before, a tad bit too mercenary for my taste.

Have a purchased other t-shirts from cafepress?

Yes...

Will I purchase one of these?

No

Maybe I'm just reading too much into your posts or I'm adding a tone that isn't there, but could you please curb the attitude? It's a t-shirt, c'mon.

Im not a graphics designer or anything, but im getting to know my way around photoshop. I wans't thinking of anything too fancy though. Fooling around for a few minutes late last night i came up with this as a very rough basic idea

left breast:

With the same thing on the back across the top, much larger, only without the "T3XS" and maybe some sponsors or something below it.
But taking into consideration what you've said, i'm gonna take a step back and leave it in more capable hands. I have no idea who i would need to contact to make sure its licensed and official or whatever. Also, with cafepress your looking at $20+ each...however there are sites that do custom designed shirts for MUCH less...but they require bulk purchases, defeating my "no mess no fuss" reasoning...

Hmmmm... If it's a Polo - I have no problem spending $20+ on it... but if it's just a t-shirt like we usually do, I don't know if I'm as excited to shell out that much plus shipping on it.

We have a little time. It gives whoever does this time to source other options and make the best decision.

BTW, Greg - Nice design.
