Default Re: Turbo is pulled!

I'm starting to agree with iceman on this one. I have a set of 15g and a set of 16g (with manifolds ect.) 16g is almost too much hassle, even if you already have everything.

I'm a glutton for punishment and not quite ready to admit defeat. So I'll prob go 16g one more time. After spending all that $$ I'm kinda stuck.

Turbo pulled Wednesday
Turbo Rebuilt Wednesday
Started the reinstall Thursday night
  • Stripped out one of the bolts to the Manifold, used nut on backside of flange
  • Bolted up to Manifold - Done
  • Oil and coolant lines - Done
  • Downpipe and exhaust - Done
  • Sensors (O2 and EGT) - Done

Tonight the plan is to drop in the radiator and reconnect all the IC pipes.

I was just messin' with ya, Scott. You damn well know what you're doing with that car and don't need my advice. I just felt the urge to reply with something sarcastic (TD05's would be more reliable)

You are certainly motivated.

Turbo out, fixed, and installed in a two days is pretty quick. Good thing it was the front. I'm sure I missed it but how did you determine the front turbo was bad?

Well, I just finished it up, I primed her nice and long... I figure for somewhere between 1.5 and 2 minutes. reconnected the CAS, and started her up.

She started, and seemed to have no smoke

Its dark so I will wait till the morning for final testing... looking for coolant and oil leaks etc.
