Well, its 9:15 in the morning, and I just got the front turbo out, and I am on my way to Majestic in Waco.

It must be nice to have a job that you can take off in middle the week to work on your car... wish I had a job like that. What was wrong with the turbo in the first place, sorry I haven't been keeping up.

Majestic does great work. They rebuilt my 13T's and td06 20g which all came out amazing.

Still can't beleive it would be the front one that went out. I think a lottery ticket is in order.

Damn that was fast..... the first time i removed the front turbo on one of these cars, it took 2 or 3 hours!!!!!

Well its 4:00 and we got the turbo back from them. I just got done hanging out with scott. I went and picked him up from Majestic and we went and ate at hooters. Then chilled for awhile. Great guy. Fun time.

As Steven said, I got it back from them today... let me say that again...

MAJESTIC TURBOCHARGERS WILL DO SAME DAY TURNAROUND ON WALK IN TURBO REBUILDS.

Granted, the reason they could do a quick turn was that they had all the parts... it ended up needing:

A full set of seals and bearings (there was some minor scoring on the main bearings, and a bit too much wear on the thrust bearing)
Honed out the bearing in the cartridge (swapped out cartridges, and will hone mine out and keep on the shelf)
Replacement shaft due to some scoring, and a replacement hot-side impeller... they even clipped it to match!

I thought about putting it in tonight so I could say I pulled it, had it rebuilt, and put it back together in the same day, but naa... I'm tired, I may start the reinstall, but will probably finish it up tomorrow or Friday night.
