Austin is amazing. There are decently priced apartments around here u just have to do a little searching. I love it here and I have lived in Dallas twice... Houston briefly... I have friends in the Ft Hood / Killeen area and do not really care for it up there. Id find a place around here somewhat close to where your going to be working. 360 / Mopac usually blow ass going to / from work but 183/I35 are getting better.
