Former DSMer - now VR-4er

You can get a cheap soldering iron from radio shack, sears, ace hardware... it doesn't have to be expensive to do the job. A 25-30W iron will be more than adequate for most electronics projects. Yes you can get fancier and better stuff that makes some jobs easier, but it really won't matter for this.
You'd also probably need some solder, too. Not expensive either. |
