Default just my luck...

was looking around the engine bay to find this....

first picture is not mine just showing a bracket that was came loose and following are pictures of the damage

in this one black circle is one bolt and white one is the bracket stuck between the belt and water pump pulley

damage to the pulley

now question is should water pump be reused or get a new one? obviously a new belt will be required which sucks cause both got about 2k miles on them only god knows how long its been like that before i figured it out

Good thing you caught it before the belt snapped.

If the water pump only has 2k on it you can reuse it. Get a new belt and maybe a pulley and you'll be set. Also, don't put that bracket back on. It is useless.

The water pump bracket require 2 screws and in that picture the upper bolt hole does not lign up as your bracket is upside down. Next time torque the bolt to spec and make sure there is a number 7 on the head of those bolts before torquing, or they will snap. Just thought you should know.

get an emory cloth and re polish the pulley, get all the rubber off of it. Then you could re-use it. Otherwise replace it.

Replace the belt, if all pulleys cant be polished, replace them. Fix all brackets, find the fod that caused the damage. More than a loose bolt on the water pump support bracket caused that shit.
