thats basically identical to what i did, but the one i went to in New Braunfels was run by Silver State Helicopters, and is now bankrupt becasue the asshat owner was imbezeling. This one is run by L/3 Com., which is actually a reputable company. They contract dozens of towers across the country and overseas.
I would recommend it to anyone. It's not as stressful as you'd think...it's an adreneline rush. As long as you can pass a background check and dont have any drug or alchohol related things on your record, you're good to go.

I considered doing the Air Force route until i found out about SilverState. The only thing kept me from enlisting was that i really didnt want to leave my wife.
