Default Advice on installing dual cig/utility plug

I'm not good with electronic knowledge so I'm asking for it.

I bought one of those triple cigarette lighter/utility power ports awhile back and now I wanna install it. Its going under the passenger side dash close to the center console. So my first thought was to just splice it into one of the the cig lighters from the center console, but not sure how much draw they can handle before popping a fuse.
I won't be using the one next to the AA switch and the cig lighter I use for my iPod FM transmitter/recharger thing. I want the utility pod hidden to clean it up. I would be using it to power my GPS and cell charger (which i don't use often, but want it there in case.

It came with a plug to go into a cig lighter to make 1 into 3 and the plug has a 8amp fuse.

So, should I just splice into whats there? I've seen some go straight off the battery, but can't that cause interference from the alternator?

WTF?!?

You guys are tools.... and not useful ones.

You guys are like a chainsaw in a OR, sure it'll cut, but theres a better answer somewhere...fuck.

I explained why i want to install the triple plug in. So i can clean up the clutter of wires on the center console. I wouldn't have to use the stock ones, so when i do a cruise night/show, I'm not unpluggin shit and hiding it. Everything will be nice, neat and out of site as far as wires go. ugh

Its like going into a southern barber shop and asking for directions. Sure, there plenty of bullshit going on, but it ain't getting you nowhere... christ, i coulda asked this question and got the same response in the BuTTch/DuTTch thread...
