Like the title says, sorry if this seems a little depressing, but I need some help from you guys. I just had to put down my 2 month old kitten because she was so sick that there was no way for me to afford everything that it would have taken to get her better, and even then it wasn't garunteed. So I'm trying to keep my mind off it and the best way for me to do that is to busy myself with other things. So, what can you guys suggest that I do with/to my car that's free (I'm broke after the emergency vet visit) that'll help me keep my mind off it? Anything will help really, even if it's just checking things to make sure they're in good order.
Sorry to hear about that, I know how hard it can be...
Give your car a nice detailing. If you vacuum it from front to back, that will take at least a good hour or two. Wash and wax your car, that could take a good day. Check the car for any cracked or dry rotted hoses, and make a note to get those when you are financial able to.
sorry to hear you bad news! i love animals!
check your fluids. are they the right level, smell burned, or discolored. buy some brake fluid(cheap) and flush your system. clean your abs sensors.

watching tons of movies, playing sports, i really dont recommend working on a car cause it is easy to think about it when you are in the middle of something.
