Default Project of the week. It never ends!

I have the fastest road course and autocross vr4 in the world! At least that's what I'd like to say, but it's sadly far from true. To help fund my world dominance I've been fixing up other vr4's/stealths and selling them. This way I don't take out of savings and the wife (boss) can't really complain.

I recently bought a 94 stealth TT with a few issues, mainly no reverse and puking aws lines above the diff. Last weekend I got rid of the aws on the car and fixed that. In the mean time I bought a transmission to swap into the car to fix reverse, but it turns out it's a GTO transmission which has lower gears. I've been looking for these for a pretty long time for my vr4 (my race car). Of course the most logical route to take is to take the trans out of both cars, then put the vr4 trans into the stealth and then take the GTO trans and put that in the vr4 along with a 5 speed rear diff.

I almost forgot that when I got my vr4 I signed my life away. Damn these cars!

I thought it was just the last gear of the GTO trans was different? If this is the case would it still be good for drag/autocross seem's like you would want a 5 speed instead of 6.

Thanks for the link gushers. The lower 2nd gear should really help in autocross.

Turbs-The vr4 isn't quite down for the winter. Hopefully I'll have both cars done by next weekend so I can have a few days with it before the "real" winter projects begin!

Yeah, let me know if you need a hand. Hopefully the stealth will be done this weekend, but I'll probably have the vr4 done for the season, sadly. I'll finally catch up on a "few" projects I've been procrastinating!
