Well have to say that Lake George was nice but being that the Saratoga races were going on the roads were crowded and we being new comers got lost easy trying to keep up with the more local people.
Well after having an emergency meeting with the 3SNY Officers. We have decided to host the NEG in Albany, NY. I will have all the particulars up within the week.
I guess if ain't broke, don't fix it. Now if Tommy could just use that same motto with his car. LOL
I'm DEFINITELY getting my Starion going now (Yea it's no 3/S but it will be a while till I get a motor and it's currently going to get painted within a week 1/2. But come June 21, 2010 I can't do shit for the next 13 weeks.....
Info for the NEG should be up before next weekend. Just some quick notes that:
* We're considering the feasibility of caravaning Thursday night. Typically we meet up Friday morning and all cruise down together. A few people mentioned that they would actually prefer traveling at night so we have all day Friday to ourselves. Im hoping leaving at night would make traffic more tolerable. So im trying to negotiate a deal for us with the hotel. If they give us a considerable discount then we'll be making the official caravan at 8pm Thursday night.
* I'll be speaking with the potential sponsors for the event but the primary sponsors will be 3SNY & 3SNJ at this time. A portion of the registration fee's we'll be collecting will be used to host the event as well. Im trying to work things out so we can lower the registration fees but we'll see how it goes.
* We'll be using the same hotel as last year. The rates are $119.00 per night (Fri. / Sat.)
* We'll still be having raffles for.
* We'll be providing food for the car show.
* Car show will be on top of the mountain (weather permitting)
* Gonna order the plaques first thing Monday morning.
Being that this is the 5th time doing this, everything should come together pretty quick. All the past sponsors have always been happy with what we offered them so I dont for see it being a problem. If we don't get sponsored 3SNY will use its funds to make up the difference.
