Default Autox this sunday(May 18th)

Just like the title says, autox this sunday. Its in parking lot 8 at the Nassau Coliseum, the time is as follows:
Registration open 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Tech open 8:00 am - 9:50 am
Mandatory novice driver meeting at start line 9:30 SHARP!
Course walk closed 9:50 am
Driver meeting 10:00 am
First car off 10:30 am

I pre-registered, this is my first event this season, and I want to make sure I have a spot. It may or may not fill up, so if you plan on going, I would pre-register, which can be done threw the NY region of the SCCA. Im really looking forward to it, hopefully see some of you on sunday!
-Matt

I autocrossed once at the Meadowlands last summer, what a rush! It somehow worked out that I didnt go through the novice program, I pulled up to the line and nobody got in my car like they were supposed to, just counted me down and off I went. I was there with a buddy of mine who drives an STi and lives for autox, maybe the two of us will come out Sunday.

wow, your buddy did amazing today, 50.6(quickest time on the day was out of a turbo miata thats was prepared quite well, at 49.000 just for comparison) I think was his best time. I was fortunate enough to come away with 1st in my class(ESP), but only got 3 runs in, and was not pleased with my driving or times. Too bad the SCCA couldnt run this event more smoothly, I would have loved to have tryed to best my time(im sure I could have, I made plently of mistakes that I knew I could improve on)But thats ok, there is another event next saturday(BMW run event, they tend to go much smoother)

Wish I could have made it out today, he texted me this morning to get my butt out of bed and out to the collisuem but we are celebrating my dads bday so I hung around home. Was he the only Sti or did he approach you? I told him yesterday there should be somebody with a silver 3000 there so he was lookin out for you. He goes to basically every nearby autox, so Im not surprised he did well. I would love to go to one of the next events, unfortunately next weekend Ill be away, but keep me updated and Ill eventually make it out to one, itd be awesome having a couple of 3000's at an event like that.

There were a whole bunch of STi's(not that surprised, theyre all over the place) But your buddies was easily the quickest, he had come up to me in the staging lane. Too bad you couldnt make it, but Ill keep posting dates and times and what not, I hope to see you out at one of these, its a great time, and addictive, youll go once, and youll be hooked.

ha, thanks buddy. I was REAL nervous about being in ESP, but there were only like 7-8(however, a total of 99 drivers for the day) people in the class that day. It was a weird feeling, I was really unhappy with my time, however, I was completly caught off gaurd when they were doing awards when they called my name for first. I was extremely happy, however, I knew the car could go faster. O well, theres always next weekend
OO and I just got my email with results:
1st for my class(ESP)
Overall with the group I came in 37th(just based on best time)
and with PAX I came 39th (gives a handicap per group, so times can be compared throught the entire group)
Out of almost 100 drivers, Im not too upset.

Damn dude. That's seriously moving! Congrats! You might be liking those Pirellis.

Are you planning on running the fall autocross down here at Brodart?
