Default 3S solid motor mounts - your thoughts !

I just installed the solid motor mounts. The ride feels strong, and smooth, but at idle the vibration is heavy ... has anyone else done this mod? What has been your experience with this mod?

I look forward to your response.

Thanks.

I wonder too, what is the benifit of solid mounts?

I know I wouldnt like them, because one of my peeves is smooth idle. I love a car that you can not feel it running at idle..

you need a rolls or hybrid for that.

they get more power to the ground. they stiffen up the front end for better handling. i love mine!

Increasing the idle from 800 to around 1.1k or so seems to lower the vibration. I will be playing with this today to find a sweet spot. But the car definitely feels more stable....

Talking Re: 3S solid motor mounts - your thoughts !

I tweak the idle up to 1k .. more like 1.05k ... and its quiet.. I can still hear the engine but the vibrations has reduced by 70% at least ...
