Default NH's 3S Mechanics

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there are any mechanics, or if anyone knows of any mechanics in NH seacoast area who may be a little "lenient" when it comes to inspections. I need to get my VR-4 inspected and don't think its going to pass...

Thanks,
Tom

There is a lenient shop in Tuftonboro, NH, not exactly seacoast area, about an hour away, thats where I had to take my VR4 to pass, everywhere else didn't like the sound of my Borla exhaust and my tinted windows.

Let us know the name of this place and how you make out... I have a BPU with Borla too. I used to have a place in Amherst, but they went out of business last winter.

Paul, come up to my area where they pass old cars with leaky exhausts, like I did last week LOL

Do you have a CEL on? not sure what trick we gotta play if we gotta fool the OBD style instpection. Most of my cars are pre OBD1 lol

I'll take you up on that. No CEL, but I got static for a loud exhaust at the Valvoline a couple of years ago. That was what came with the car- a couple of Flowmasters in a custom (crappy) catback. Rest was stock. I now have a 3in DP, Random Tech hi-flow cat, gutted precats, and the Borla. So it's a little louder and since I've replaced the cat, I'd really like to take it someplace where they aren't gonna be all overexcited about it.

I really miss the guy who closed. He ran the Shell oil change place on 101A, and every time I took my car there, he'd tell me about his cars while writing the sticker. They'd check the lights and the kids would ask me about the mods and that was the inspection. I don't remember that the computer to the state ever worked at all. Ah, the good ol' days!

I will be in Nashua on Sunday and Wednesday. I can make an appt for a Wednesday or a Saturday, depending on the guys hours and if the state system has specific hours for stickers. He didnt hassle me for my exhaust, I think you heard it pretty good last week after TGI

My shop is up the street from the Dog House that we went to.

Give me a call and come over on Sunday. No hurry on the inspection- I'll be doing it end of June or beginning of July again. Right now, I'm still taking parts off... one of these days I'll start putting them back on!
