Drives to endanger...
|
Hey guys hows it going...ive had my 94 N/A for going on 3-3.5 months and i havent had any major changes yet, with the exeption of my MASSHOLEZ banner across my window.(my friends high school car club
) but ive already got the K&N CAI and a strut tower bar...im also going to do exhaust, rims, and springs...i hope to one day trade my car for a VR4 or eventually own one when im working full time. but thats beside the topic....i want you guys's opinions on mods for what i listed above. I realize there isnt much i can do to a N/A. i was thinking about Eibach springs, 18" Maxxim Guilt Rims, and a Lou's Custom exhaust. heres the link to Lou's job on a gen 2 N/A from the looks of it... http://www.lousplymouth.com/index.ph.../imports/C170/ IMO, its very clean, and i love the way they did it. But ive heard both good and bad things about their services. Im curious does anyone on 3SI in the NE area have a Lou's? If so, how do you like it and how was the service? Pricing? |

lou's is junk. crappy bends alot of restrictions, all noise. but if your not looking for high power then it'll do the job
EDIT: BTW no one here is going to know anything about lou's exhaust. so id advise getting it moved to new england section.

Lou's = if you want cheap and just sound
If you want performance and such, stick to the Borla's and such

If only their products were as good as their staff is friendly. Lou's builds mostly in mild and aluminized steel (and a little 409SS). As far as I know, no Lou's has a mandrel bender or works with mandrel bends. They pinch-bend everything. Routing is generally ok I guess, but nothing otherworldly. For shizzleous purposes Lou's is fine, but I wouldn't put one of their exhausts on my car. Clint

100% assholes...they were jerks when I went looking for piping so I could do my own exhaust...saying I couldnt do it and that it wont come out well if a professional doesnt do it.

If you want a custom exhaust, talk to Jason at:
BSM Exhaust Works & Hot Rod Service, Performance Exhaust Specialist. The web site implies that they do only American Muscle, and that probably is a lot of it but I broke him in on my VR4 last year. Nice guy and knows his stuff. He re-flanged the end of my Borla to 3in to match the Random Tech cat and did an excellent job. |
