Most of us are in central/southern CT so its either going to be a long trek for just you or all of us if we do that. I got my point in milford .

On another note.. Looks like my beast is running. Taking it to a shop tomorrow to finish the exhaust. It feels and sounds like a monster

Sounds like a coast run is a majority vote. Post where you will be coming from and, as usual, I'll arrange something that is somewhat central.

As far as the date goes, there are usually more goings on Monday than Sunday but I'll have the date firmed up by this Sunday.

dmboys007: see who else from RI wants to show. I'd really like to try to start getting more of the NE guys to show. I try to make it fair to everyone for the distance especially because of the price of gas but I think you would agree that if there are 5 cars coming from western CT and only one from RI then making everyone else drive 100 miles so that one person doesn't have to isn't too fair.

Ask around, I usually can work out something that everyone can live with.

I'll second that. This is why everyone who is thinking of attending needs to post their preferences as soon as they can so that the planning can best accomodate the group as a whole.

I'm in SW CT, but my parents are in East Lyme. So I can always start from there if need be.
I just offered up down this way because there are a ton of great roads, and I don't know of any good (free) beach/ grilling spots up there that won't be loaded with people.

Here is a preliminary plan.

I am checking on a sea food drive-in type restaurant on the coast around the Old Lyme/New London area. From what I understand they are right on the water and have a good size parking lot.

The plan would be, on Sunday, those coming from the west would meet in Milford (maybe) and those coming from the east woul meet on the RI/CT border (or other convenient spot) and we would all converge at the restaurant.

We get some eats there, take pics and socialize (check out cars, splash in the sound, etc). Then later in the evening those that are interested could caravan to Mohegan Sun for some fun and debauchery.

Many are going to be traveling for 50+ miles (one way) for this meet so I am uncertian of adding another 50-60 miles of driving.

So those are my preliminary thoughts. Everyone please chime in so plans can be firmed up by this weekend.

Kookie, there are also a number of nice places in the Westbrook area as well on the water to eat at. Which restaurant are you looking at?
