Looking for a kind person somewhere around southern Indiana

Hey folks,

Thought I'd give this a try, nothing ventured.....nothing gained. I have a 91 TT car that has a miss that I can't correct. I'm suspecting the ecu is the culprit. It would sure be great if I could find someone near my area that would allow me to try my ecu in their car to check it out, rather than buying another one. I'm located in Corydon, In. 47112, not far from Louisville, Ky., but wouldn't mind driving some to accomplish this.

Have you tried checking for boost leaks? Does it idle really rough when you start it? I'd bet money that it is just a boost leak if it just started doing it.

If it has been doing it for awhile, then you might have other problems. What are some of the symptoms?

Here is the story: Need some help!

Yesterday I again swapped out the cas, power transistor, and changed the 3/6 coil. The car started and idled fine for just over 6 minutes, then lost power to the 3/6 coil again. I can let it set for a while, start it back up and it will run on all six for a minute or two, sometimes a little longer, then the 3/6 coil quits firing again and the check engine light comes on. The only code I am getting is 53.
