Upper Midwest Gathering -- May 15-17, 2009 -- Wisconsin Dells
Hey everyone,
Planning has begun for the 2009 Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering. This will be our 10th year for this event. The format will be similar as year's past. The fun starts on Friday, May 15th and goes until Sunday, the 17th. More info can be found at Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering 2009
We will be staying at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort again. I have the discount all set up. Basic double queen rooms will be $68 (non-lakeside) and $78 (lakeside). You must book both Friday and Saturday nights. Just mention my name when booking your room. There number is 1-800-435-6515. There website is: Sunset Bay Resort Welcome to Sunset Bay Resort, overlooking Lake Delton, in WI Dells!
I've put together a sign up list for the UMG. So far we have 38 people signed up. The list is at: UMG sign-up list
I know there are several people who have already made there hotel reservations. We have already booked more rooms than last year at this point. If you want the best selection of rooms, you should book soon.
I'm still working on the schedule for the UMG. It will be close to the same as last year. We may do a train ride instead of a boat ride. Stay tuned for that.
Looks like we have 65 signed up now. That's great! I do have the tenative schedule of events on the UMG page. Its here: The Schedule But there will be some minor changes to it.
Businesses are starting to open in the Dells, so I can fine tune things to the schedule. Only about a month away now. Get signed up and get your hotel reservation. The UMG only happens once a year!
I got an updated list of our hotel reservations. We only have 18 rooms booked at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. The last several years, we've had over 30 reservations. The good news is there is still an okay selection of rooms left. The bad news is there REALLY should be more of you with your rooms booked already!!
I also updated the sign up list. We have 73 people on it: UMG sign-up list
I'm still working on the Friday dinner and what kind of tour we are doing on Saturday afternoon.
The UMG is less than two weeks away now. We are in the final stretch. I've updated the sign up list. There is 77 people on it: UMG sign-up list
There are still rooms at the hotel, so you can still make your last minute reservations. Also, with the train ride added to the schedule, we will be having another little "rural cruise" on Saturday afternoon to get to the train and back. Its about 25 miles out of town. Should be lots of fun.
The UMG is only a week away. I checked with the hotel and we now have 39 rooms book. Our sign up list is also up to 80 people. I've updated the sign up list and I also made a new map for this year. I'm hoping we'll have 45-50 3/Ses there and probably 60 owners. Its going to be awesome!
Here are a few reminders about things to bring:
1) Bring an FRS radio if you have one. We'll be using them on the rural cruise and other stuff.
2) Bring sunscreen if you burn easily.
3) Bring a lawn chair or two for the Saturday night cookout.
4) Print off the schedule: The Schedule
5) Print off the map: Wisconsin Dells Map
6) Don't forget your car cleaning supplies.
The UMG is almost here. Time to get those final repairs done and get your butt to Wisconsin Dells. I'm already down here. No road construction anywhere in the Dells this year. Its awesome.
The rural cruise route is all set too. We'll be doing the one that goes on the car ferry in Merrimac. We've got 81 people signed up and we have 40 rooms booked at the hotel. Its going to be a rockin' good time. Don't miss it!
