I order 110 octane by the drum. Ups freight charge is 65$ on the drum but it works out to being only 2.15$ a gallon + the 65 in shipping so...like 3.17/gallon with shipping.

Where do you order it from?

How many gallons in a drum? By the math right there I'm getting 63-64 gallons.

55 Gallons to a drum. My math is off. 119.35/55= 2.17 + 65/55 = 1.18 = so...2.17+1.18 = 3.35/gallon

My bad.

***Update***

To anyone who glanced at this thread and was interested.

It's closer to my location, and it may be closer to yours as well:

There is a "Fast Track" gas station located at 13/Mound on the south/west corner that sells 110 Octane Leaded Pump Gasoline.

I did confirm the Speedway location mentioned at 15/Rochester, which has 100 octane unleaded pump.

Surprisingly both of these locations and the fuels mentioned were about the same price. The 100 Octane was listed at ~$5.70 per gallon while the 110 at the Fast Track was ~$5.50 per gallon, today, on 03/08/08.
Just in case anyone was interested.

Pump gas is unleaded. The higher octane fuels (105+) are usually leaded. It is illegal to dispense leaded gas from the pump directly into the car unless at a race track (the exception may be if it's on a trailor).

Also saw a Marathon station at 23/Gratiot that sells 110 leaded octane, was $6 a gallon.
