weird noise from engine bay
When I start my car, there's a hesitation and weird bumping around sound for about three seconds and then its gone. I replaced my motor mounts not long ago but I still suspect that it's the motor mounts b/c they're not new. I'm afraid that it could be a kind of engine relaated knock. There's a small hole in my rubber intake tube but the area typically covered by my battery, maybe some unfiltered air got in my engine idk. I'd like for someone to come and help me decipher what the problem is, I hope to God that it's something minor like a motor mount....

ok did some more analysis and found that it's either somewhere under the intake plenum or near the oil pan, I may probably nee help from you wonderful people to help and teach me how to remove an oil pan, and help me figure out what's wrong. I have driven my car about 50-80miles since this problem started and I plan to park it in the garage until I can figure out what's werong with it.
PS theres a few dents in my oil pan if that means anything...  SPUN BEARING maybe????Last edited by teknbystorm : 06-08-2008 at 06:30 PM. |
