Default Tranny concerns...

Lately, I've begun to notice that my automatic transmission (yeah, I know; gimme a break, the car was cheap and I was impatient) takes a few minutes to warm up. I'll set off for work, in the morning and for the first half mile, or so, it has a hard time finding O/D but once it's warmed up it shifts smooth as silk.

I'm guessing (hoping) that I just need to top up the fluid but I've wondered about changing out the fluid and keep hearing that Red Line is highly recommended. However, since it's synthetic, I'm wondering if a straight drain and fill is all I need or whether the filter will also need to be replaced...?

Any ideas or suggestions?

on any atx ur supposed to drain the fluid and change the filter ever so many miles... its not a requirement to replace the filter but its highly recommended when changing the fluids
