Mitsubishi Surging and high idle
: Can any give me some input ? We have a 93 VR4 that is surging and has an idle between 2500 and 3000 RPMS. Where do we start and what should we look for ? Thanks, Grocery Getter

Sounds like it may be the IAC. Go here and it tells you how to remove/clean it. If it's bad though it may need to be replaced.

Seems like a huge vacuum leak somewhere. As Toolman suggests, it could be the IAC/ISC (Idle Air Control valve), but with that high of rpm, could be many things.

Check everything from the throttle plate to heads.
