Hot Springs

Spring is on the way, and I'm thinking about coming down for a visit again. Me and some of my close freinds usually come down to hot springs AK every year for some of the best camping and drunken canoe action ever. I've never had a chance to make freinds with any of the locals, so I was wondering if any of you guys go, and if so, whens the best time to go. (good comfortable weather, no people, least bugs, ect ect) Would make a nice photo-op if anyone else would be brave enough to drive there 3S to the beaches. (there, something about a car)

well im always up for meetin 3s family.. idk bout the canoe part though lol i know that the most "active ar3s guys cars are done right now"
eyeluvmy3kgts car got towed home today something along the lines clutch idk what if its hydraulic or the shift fork or the crutch let go
jwetzler had an engine fire
chris(never on the boards) waitin on clutch and flywheel so we can put his new trans in
simprobe works all the damn time
as for me my rear turbo is fubared (wont spool/locked up)
don't take that the wrong way though marshall wont take long if he gets time to get to it
chris is waitin on my turbos, he's helping me buy my turbos lol all the work ive been doing on his car long story short he spent 13-14g's and i helped him install it all
my turbos get shipped out friday so me and chris will be ready for spring break lol i think marshall has hydraulic problem.. master or slave cylinder went out... idk no word on what he's found yet
wetzler idk what hes up too on his car. if i recall he's gotta replace a few connectors and vac lines and it be all good... it was a small fire i think

but after i get my turbos in im down for a meet we need to hold 1 again...

Wow, you guys deffinately need to float the creek/river, tough year. Sounds like the TN section, minus the two fires. Anyway, was just wondering if anyone down there ever goes to hotsprings.
If you don't know about the canoe action down there, right around spring break......, well......, its like a redneck spring break. Lots of girls/wemen, most of them b!+@#in about the canoe ride, but the ones laying out on the rocks are nice scenery. The trip down the river can take all day, or half a day, depending on how much you paddle/float, or stop off on the islands. There's also a bar thats open seasonally, right on the river. The main focus is on getting a bit tipsy, relaxing, and enjoying some beautiful scenery.
I'll keep an eye out for AR's next meet, it would give me something to do the next time the wife wants to visit the inlaws in memphis.

lol actually i think i know what ur talking bout now. buddy from work goes every year. if marshall finds this he might be interested. don't quote me on that dudes a busy mofo

as for a meet i would almost bet money we will hold 1 during springs break when everybodies cars is done lol i just bought my turbos lol

Ask him when the best time to go is, preferably the most comfortable, bug free weather. You should take some freinds, and go sometime if you have the chance, your not to far from there.

Yea, we have a bunch of guys wrenching for NG08. One is throwing in the towel for a sweet deal on 1 built dsm and two parts cars, the other is holding out for enough cash to build up his motor. The last mini meet we had the 23rd of this month, there were 20 people in attendance and 10 3S cars.... On the bright side, there were 4 non-3S owners that were guests. So only six showed without there cars. On the negative side, TN3S has 44 members... lol

Mid to Late May would probably the best time for outdoors stuff in AR. I'll be done with school then so that works for me! I should have my car fixed by the end of the month for sure. It's killing me not to drive it.

Where do you guys go to canoe?
