do you mean tune the AEM or load a base map or both? What mods do you have on your car?
I know how to tune a car with other fuel controllers but I have never messed with the AEM. Is your car even driveable right now? Polk is in the process of moving to a new shop so they aren't taking any business. They lost the old one when Don Polk passed away. David, the other Polk is a friend of mine and I could probably get him to tune it for you. He's a AEM factory trained tuner. where about in central AR are you?

just curious... do you have big plans for your car or something. An AEM is overkill unless you are planning on going over 500awhp. Don't get me wrong though. The AEM is great at any power level if you can tune it good yourself. I don't understand why people buy them and then can't drive their cars ever because they have to find someone to tune it.

400HP I wouldn't bother with an AEM, just get a MAF-T and or SAFC

To AEM's credit, they DID try all their best in helping me solve this problem. So NO hits on them. I think the problem can either be Battery, PTU, or coils. I'll replace what needs 2 be replaced; and if the AEM still won't connect, then I'll just have 2 price ECUs. |

john (jwetzler) got a new ecu at autozone for a really good price. you could sell the aem and throw a stock ecu back in and buy an afc and still come out ahead.
As far as plug and play. an SAFC or maft are as easy as it gets. If you still have stock injectors you will have them set to ZERO. You will only need one once you upgrade to larger injectors. |
