Default AEM Brains

I'm looking for somebody, anybody here in central Ar who can put brains in an AEM ECM. Cars a 92 dodge stealth tt. Yes I know about POLK performance, but they seem to have disappeared. I need a backup shop.

do you mean tune the AEM or load a base map or both? What mods do you have on your car?

I know how to tune a car with other fuel controllers but I have never messed with the AEM. Is your car even driveable right now?

Polk is in the process of moving to a new shop so they aren't taking any business. They lost the old one when Don Polk passed away. David, the other Polk is a friend of mine and I could probably get him to tune it for you. He's a AEM factory trained tuner.

where about in central AR are you?

I know how to tune a car with other fuel controllers but I have never messed with the AEM. That's cool. AEMs can B a handful 2 play with. Is your car even driveable right now? Not at the moment.

Polk is in the process of moving to a new shop so they aren't taking any business. They lost the old one when Don Polk passed away. So sorry 2 hear of his passing. He will B missed. David, the other Polk is a friend of mine and I could probably get him to tune it for you. He's a AEM factory trained tuner. I know David. He's the 1 who put brains in the last time. Good man.
I know that he's in the transition period. I don't want 2 put the man out of his way if he has 2 come on site just 2 put brains in.

where about in central AR are you? Sherwood.

just curious... do you have big plans for your car or something. An AEM is overkill unless you are planning on going over 500awhp. Don't get me wrong though. The AEM is great at any power level if you can tune it good yourself. I don't understand why people buy them and then can't drive their cars ever because they have to find someone to tune it.

400HP I wouldn't bother with an AEM, just get a MAF-T and or SAFC

AEM is way overkill then. I would throw the stock ECU back in. You could be driving your car this whole time while waiting on the AEM to get tuned.

OK. I'll price both and see if I can use either of them as a back up for the AEM
Do U know if either comes as plug and play? I know NOW that AEM doesn't.

My stock ECU went tits up. Sent it 2 ecmtogo and they couldn't do nuthin 4 me, man. So I ponied up the cash and got an AEM thinking Plug and Play. Don't mean nothing if the ECU cannot communicate with Lap top.

To AEM's credit, they DID try all their best in helping me solve this problem. So NO hits on them. I think the problem can either be Battery, PTU, or coils. I'll replace what needs 2 be replaced; and if the AEM still won't connect, then I'll just have 2 price ECUs.

john (jwetzler) got a new ecu at autozone for a really good price. you could sell the aem and throw a stock ecu back in and buy an afc and still come out ahead.

As far as plug and play. an SAFC or maft are as easy as it gets. If you still have stock injectors you will have them set to ZERO. You will only need one once you upgrade to larger injectors.
