Who are you asking?

The guy is a crook. You are better off investing in powerball. Good Luck.

John,

Not yet, but he has been in contact and is working on a solution that involves additional parts, that would make both of us happy and better off. So, I can say that he has been pleasent to work with so far. Granted I still have a 91 engine with broken axle support bolt mounts when I was supposed to have a spun rod bearing 93 engine, but If all works out, I will be well pleased. He has also stated that he will refund cash if he can't get these other parts that his is supposed to be able to get for me.

Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt

A person who makes unnecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Body kit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performance intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some 3000gt's Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therefore not always considered rice, but it really depends on the severity of the case.

It's too bad I didn't see this thread before I won an auction for a pair of 1g fog lights. Hopefully there's not a lot of room for error/disappointment there... I'll be happy if of doesn't have a big hole on it from a freeway rock

Just thought I'd do a follow up on my eBay item from 'spacarelv'.

So, the auction ended and I paid for the item within a few hours fully expecting to have the item before the end of the week (I'm only 2 hours out of Vegas, ground shipping with any company arrives next day). Instead, 5 days later, I receive an email from him asking for an additional payment to cover shipping. It's not like he's asking for a lot, but if this is any indication of how he conducts business in other settings, I would be wary of doing business with him.

I have contacted eBay to verify their policies on these matters before I commit to comply with or refuse his request.

I almost bid on those lights thinking of giving him another chance, but thought better of it. I hope all works out better for you than me.

Update on my issue. Still no refund or make good on deal he said he would do for me. So I sit with a 91 TT long block with a rod jammed into the side of the block, which has the axle shaft support bosses broken off of it. It was suppossed to have been a 93 engine. He is "suppossedly" trying to get me another engine, but I think I'm screwed.

Mods - Might be time for a sticky about Superior Private Auto Care, like the one about Midnight Haze.

He is not a buyer/seller here. He uses Ebay ID spacarelv, claims to have a shop that specializes in the 3S cars.
