Hell i figured with the caliber of techs they have working there that there would be NO WAY they could have let it out the garage without knowing it was fixed
Yea but as stated with the race gas and the random nature of the ecu problem I think the outcome was the best that could be hoped for. expecially when the former owner said it had problems when he had it. To me bitching about the gas is silly since they ate the cost of the time they had into the car. But since you are now against using them good luck finding someone thats only 3 hours drive away thats as good at repairing 3/s as them. Ips is only like 900 miles away or whatever.

Just my thoughts on the subject and yes I used 3sx to rebuild my car and no Im not taking anyones side.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It sounds like your car had a metric poop-ton of problems. It works now and you are going to quibble over a $100 in gas?

Why didn't you leave your datalogger with them in the first place? I know hindsight is 20/20, but that would have made a lot of sense.

The car did have some problem, mainly with the timing which i told them to redo when i dropped it off. So it was no shock... There were other small problems that had nothing to do with it knocking in the first place, im sure all that was causing knock was ecu in the first place but i am glad they found other problems and fixed them. One problem they found was that my tranny was grinding very badly, i had no clue it was doing this so they changed my tranny oil to help the problem out somewhat. So when i pick up the car it was grinding pretty badly so im like wtf its never done this before so i pull over and first thing i see is the 3in IC piping is hitting the shifter linkage. I was just thinking to myself "a shop full of guys who do this all the time couldent figure out a common problem like that?" Anyways that was a good charge that was needless. Also the reason i didnt leave the palm with it was because it would have been dead by the time i picked it up and i dont have a card to save MMCD on so it would have been erased...

Here are some threads 3sx should have read before changing out the fluid...
PPE FMIC kit
no more 5th gear

AHAHHADHAAH YOUR SO SMART, only reason it had RTV on it was because i THOUGHT it was ticking around but wasnt 100% on that, so i put a little RTV on there and sure enough it stopped it from ticking. Granted on the crank gear it looked like alot of RTV because i guess it spread on the drive up. So i ordered another cas blade from 3SX and was going to reinstall it myself but figured id just let them do it.

I am going to have to ask you to stay out of this thread if you are going to spread misinformation or come back when you can keep up. Preciate it...
