2nd Place NG08 DRAGS

With less than 20 days to go, I figured I would make a crunch time thread.
Things done today for me- Fixed water leak, pulled front end off and all piping, pulled front manifold and fixed exhaust leak at manifold and front wastegate. Drilled the holes for the front mount intercooler and mocked it up. Left to do- Finish installing front mount and all piping, pressure test, put front end/radiator back in. Install e-manage and hopefully get with Armond and tune. If not, will just tune with SAFC-II and maybe tune at NG with e-manage with Armond. Clean the interior- pull out whats not needed. Fix the A/C... YES I STILL HAVE IT!!! Start packing tools/compressor/jack/stands/extra fluids etc. On my towing vehicle I fixed the a/c so the kids do not have to ride in the hot, I am still waiting on my ECM for it and it will be ready to go. If it does not show up, I will be borrowing a buddy's f-250 crew cab turbo diesel to haul with. Still only ((EDIT: 6) people signed up for GA3S!! Come on you guys! Its NG and it is not 1500 miles away this time!!!! Shane

I did get the RX-7 to start last night. I am not getting power to my fuel pump so I need to figure that out today. I had hotwired the pump to charge the fuel system (basically to fill the fuel lines and fuel rail). So, when I tried to start it, it just ran off that fuel that was in the lines. I should be able to get that part squared away tonight. I got my short tube headers and Flowmaster muffler last night. I’m going to try and get the headers put on, then I need to bleed the clutch and I should be able to pull it out of the shop and take it for a spin. I ordered some new couplers to finish my intake. The tracking number shows them here on Thursday. It will only take me a minute to get the intake done. The car was unbelievably loud when I started it with nothing but stock exhaust manifolds on it. So I am going to be cutting it close but she might make the NG. I still need to have the rest of my ehxaust fabricated. |
