Hey look, the GA member's thread is turning in to an "I spend too much money on my car thread". lol

For what it's worth I dumped ~$4K in to my car the first month I got it, then it was rock solid until I broke it at the drag strip 4.5 years later. Add in oil changes and misc. routine stuff and I was probably at the $5K mark before May 23. That set me back roughly $2,100. Total it all up, and in 4.5 years I have dropped ~$7,000 in to it to keep it running (not counting actual go fast mods, since they are not part of regular maint.). That works out to $4.26 a day since I've owned it. I'd pay $4.26 a day to drive around in a car that can run mid 12s on pump gas and honest to goodness all season radial tires.

I think we have one floating around ATL here somewhere. The motor runs so pressure testing could be done as is. I just wasn't in any hurry to do it considering it doesn't make any difference for now, lol. Anyways I think Christy has it but I'll make sure so I know if you need to bring yours or not. Thanks for offering to help It's always appreciated.

On a side note, I've only had to spend $1500 on mine since last Sept, almost a year. But it was down for a month when the clutch died and down since April with its current problem(s), so I really spent $1500 for 6 months of driving. $8.33/day, Travis And that price is about to go up drastically as soon as I get the tranny fixed. LOL I might end up paying more in car parts than I do in taxes! Wait, NAAAAAH that'll NEVER happen. I wonder what kind of car uncle sam drives?

"My car's a bigger peice of crap than yours!"

"Nah ah, mine is! Yours is nowhere near as crappy as mine!"

"You know what, you're right, your car is pretty crappy."

"Thank you..."

BEAM HAMMUS - this is totally off topic, but what are you doing tonight? I need help moving, and being that you are unfortunate enough to own a truck, I'm going to call upon your assistance.
