Default First for Me...CO3S welcome back whitewolf

Ok so some of the things that I have been told by ECU repair experts and some cool shops that I know do great things with 3/S's. Since I pulled my ECU MD159963 I have heard.

1. You have a Fed Spec ECU and its not compatible with 93 and up Fed Spec ECU's

2. Your cars VIN specifies that it could have come with either a MD159962 or 63 ECU

3. It may be more economical to buy new than to rebuild

4. We can sell you a new rebuilt MD159963 with upgraded capacitors from Mitsu, but the capacitors in your ECS may cause our upgraded ECU we sold you to blow up. So you either have to disconnect your ECS and always be in sport or pull it and send it in to us for upgrading.

5. Wow something seems off about 3.

6. Some cool 3/S guys offering to sell me theirs and telling me they are interchangeable from 93's, and 95's on up.

7. Either the so called experts don't know the unit or some 3/S guys don't know that this model is not interchangeable I'm leaning towards the fact that the so called experts may have been trying to make a quick buck.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this if you can shed some light on any of these things feel free to do so

i wouldnt trust a remanucfactered one for the fact that i saw this rigged job on mitsubishigto's 92 ecu. This cap was under the board soder to some of the capacitor points.(lazy asses had to soder another one in parallel just to get the oem capacitance). Solder joints also had rust on them all over the caps that were replace. The seal didnt have a specific shop or number just said remanufactered ecu and has two warranty/void seals to keep it from being tampered.

If your trying to get your ecu fix i recommend you change the caps to some digikey caps and check your isc's coils. That little darn thing can mess up your ecu's drivers too.

I solved one problem, the ECU model number does not have to be the same; however, the E2T number has to be an exact match. Mine is E2T35676. Ahh Venom got screwed huh? I'm trying not to go down that path. Who did that botch job on the bottom of your board? They should be sent to the firing squad.

And I'll check my isc's coils too thanks 98slept I'll be PM'ing you soon.
