Default Engine parts polishing

I am trying to find a good shop to have my valve covers, heads, fuel rails, and misc parts stripped polished and clear coated. I would like a local shop so I dont have to ship or pay core charges to save some money. I am in DuPage Villa Park but also work in West Chicago by the DuPage Airport. Thanks

IPS does some good polishing, I dont know of any local shops that do it though. I'm really considering taking up the hobby this fall.

Hobby You are supposed to enjoy a hobby like golf, fishing, and sitting on the couch. Polishing is an underpaid job.

I just spent 600 on powder coating equipment so hopefully that will start to be popular once my oven gets delivered.

Some of the powder coats are shiny as polished if not more so.. they look CHROME

so if I find I make good stuff i'll be happy to do somethign like that

I suggest. Investigate powder coating as a viable option verses polishing and clear coating. Both will undoubtedly turn out well but there are color choices with powder coating and having gone through that process..., I was pleases with the outcome vs. price.
