if anyone needs a place to stay we should have plenty of room on the back of travis's trailer!

i'm bringing a dining fly about 10' by 10' and a few tents.. so if you want to be extra classy you can stay down with the cool people.

wow it's been a while and all this talk about NG is making me sad

so I took the VerFer for a spin yesterday and had my first ever short problem... when I hit a decent sized bump the car would die for a split second and all electronics went out, which leads me to believe that it's loose terminals on the battery(they feel somewhat snug when I twist them, but also can just twist off when I have to charge which is pretty much before every drive since I'll go weeks w/o driving thanks to the bike).

also still gotta get off the lazy ass and check the shift-linkage/possible clutch dragging and even tranny fluid b4 I finally admit that I need new 2nd/5th synchros, there was a thread that I printed out that explained how the tranny issues could be the linkage/clutch adjustment which is probably just wishful thinking, but it's worth a shot b4 I shell out $1k+ for a rebuild...

and oh yea speakin of the lazy ass, still need to get a job, granted I haven't been actively pursuing, I'm putting all my eggs in one basket now shooting for either a store or district manager gig with Aldi and got my foot in the door through a contact on the Chicagoland Sportbikes forum, if anybody on here has any leads for something that pays in the $45k+ range and requires a bachelor's and some management experience(I have office and retail mgmt exp.), also if anyone is in or has contacts in architecture, the Mrs. just graduated and is looking, she has over 1yr exp. as an intern.

so have fun at NG and I'll be there in spirit!

Shitty camera phone pic of my new trailer

I've got a pretty good idea of a way we can put the cars inches apart and have them not move at all, so we should be good.

Pete, your car is down 600lbs from stock? That should definitely help the situation.

Are you worried about being over max trailer weight rating or the GVWR, or both.
As far as I know, I dont think you're going to have to weigh at the scales, I never do.

I'm worried about the trucks GVWR, the trailer will be under. I won't be stopping at any scales, but worst case a cop could tell me I need to. Also, I could probably get away with B's, but the ticket for being plated in the wrong weight class is enough that I would rather just pay for the correct plates.

Also, I know people that have gone through the scales over the GVWR but under what they are plated for, and they were told that everything was fine, so I will most likely be fine no matter what.

is it light enough so that dave and i don't need to drive down in his parents' minivan?

OR we could just sit IN his car ON the trailer. save you some axle weight and still pretty comfortable.

hahaha
Best case one of you 2 Gets shotgun in another car, for weight and also for comfort.
Worst case you and Dave are in the truck, you won't have to drive separate.
