btw what's a fair price to ask for a long block w/ a spun bearing that has been sitting around?

I'm thinking the heads still have some value since they're in decent condition, but the block would need to be cleaned and machined, but I guess it would be a decent core for someone planning on building a motor w/o having to put their car out of commission(hence the reason I decided to take it off Dave's hands)

Did you consider taking yours to a machine shop and having the threads repaired? I don't know how that would work on a lower plenum, but I have had all the threads replaced on one of my heads for $25 and it was like new when they gave it back to me. Dropped it off in the morning picked it up next morning.

There was no issue mounting a TT plenum on my NA lower plenum that I recall.

it would work but

helicoils do fail over time especially when their in soft metal like aluminum and where bolts are continually taken out and put back in like to do spark plugs.

ps. i didn't know they were different either, i thought only the upper plenum had a slight difference in the runners?
