maximal performance sells mounts..do a search on the board....bunch o'members running them....they're solid metal mounts so no core charge...hell you could even sell your cores to 3sx.

225 shipped i think for a full set.
75 bucks for the rear alone

3sx just does the leg work ........you can buy the inserts which uses the same materials used in the 3sX mounts but you have to get bring them into a machine shop to have them pressed in. inserts cost aroudn 125-150 dollars compare to 329 + core charge (which is 250)

yes you get your core charge back when you send it in but you have to lay down 579 for mounts upfront.

maximal mounts are high quality metal mounts they provide even less flex than the poly mounts. Terry makes an awesome product and is of very high quality (i.e. his welds, material used, etc.)

The JDPC inserts (same poly material used in 3sx mounts) are also high quality....only difference as i mentioned before you have to bring them into a machine shop to have them pressed in....20-30 bucks tops.
so just borrow an engine lift lift the whole motor up a few inches..take the mounts out...bring them to a shop...have them pressed in (shouldnt take more than 1 hour for all of them) and reinstall them.

also...they only come in brown (color of the poly) instead of blue or red......either of which you can see when the mounts are in the car.

so andy..choice is up to you ..its your money
They're not better than the 3sx mounts.....but they're essentially the same and does the same job.

the metal ones are life time waranty right? thats not bad. i was just looking at the prices and 525$ + for motor mounts is rediculous. i cant believe that. and really the tranny one is the only one i need so far the rear one looks fine and teh front one looks fine i havent chaecked teh top one by the belts yet. but the front and back are fine the tranny one is bad but i am going to get that replace no matter what.
wouldnt it be bad to put all metal mounts in? isnt it supposed to flex a little? and for that matter would the motor mounts form 3sx be basically the same thing as stockers from mitsubishi? just currious? 3sx has a 3 week waiting period.
i need these now!

So I'm suggesting either Tues 6/8,Wed 6/9 or Thurs. 6/10 night!?? GLD is one idea if weather permitting.............otherwise I'm sure we all can figure something out locally ? maybe we all meet in Schaumburg?

Ro, when are you scheduled to come back into the Chi-town area? Will you be able to meet with us before 6/13/04??
I'm down for any day this week. I really want to meet everyone.

Where did i write that you get a lifetime warranty on the metal mounts?
not alot of company offers lifetime warranties

solid mounts like the maximal performance mounts will translate some vibration at idle but after that not a biggy...thats the price you pay for stiffer mounts..even the 3sx mounts suffer from this.
