Have you tried accessing the site from a different computer? Try it and see if the problem only occurs from your PC or if it happens from any PC. At least this will narrow down if the problem is local to your PC or something with the site.

I seem to recall having a problem accessing a site but when I tried it on a different PC it worked. I think one problem was that I put in the web address and it was as if it didn't exist. But from a different PC, going through my same cable modem, it came up fine. Another problem was the site would come up, but when I tried to log in and access my stuff it wouldn't work, but on another PC it worked fine. I never did figure out what the problem was. I just remember calling their customer support and them insisting there was nothing wrong at their end. Then it came to me to try it from my other PC and it worked fine. It all works now, but I can't remember what I did. It might have been simply clearing the cache like I told you, or adjusting a security/firewall setting.

BTW, are you using any firewall software on your PC or a router with firewall built in? Don't know if that would be the cause though. I have a router with the firewall set to it's highest setting and also have ZoneAlarm Pro on my PCs set at it's highest firewall setting and don't have the problem you have.

haha ! Hey, Jauron continues to bable about the mathmatical possibility to make the playoffs YEAH RIGHT DICK

Hey Jeff, that mysterious squeek from my left front wheel has disappeared ( you attempted to get my Porterfield rotor off, but couldnt get it to break loose ). Interestingly enough, after that attempt, I noticed that my tire pressure had dropped down to 20 psi in a 4 tires, and when I added air to all of them to bring them up to 35 psi, the noise disappeared . . apparently the additional drag of the underinflated front tire(s) was putting pressure on the bearing hub and causing that hub noise / squeek I dunno, all I know is that its gone now. I will still pay you for the time spent on it though . . let me know if you want me to send you a check at this time or if you just want to add it in to the next work that you perform for me on the Stealth or my Dodge Ram Thanks Bro.

Actually, its not as difficult as you may think, I go to the main page every day, I look for the folders with the blue dots, and in those folders, I check for the threads with new postings... usually only 2 or three active threads a day. But, I REALLY like how this helps to organize thoughts. In our mondo thread over here on 3Si, you could get a couple of conversations going at once, where as over there, your conversations are more organized.

As an example: you want to see what the latest scoop is on getting together, you go to the "get together" section and see whats there.

Are there more places to look? Yes.
Is it easier to navigate? Definately!

I kinda agree, but *personally* I'd rather just have one thread for get togethers....one of idle bullshit....and one for car talk......and as far as the 'Chicago Crew' is concerned.....I'm a creature of habit and I kinda like having all 3 in one thread where I can read all 1,2,3, or 10 pages I wasn't around for....and catch up on EVERYTHING.....rather than to read 6 different threads.....but that's me....and I'm a creature of habit even though I'm half your age! hehehehe j/k scott!

Why? They’ll just delete it again under the guise of needing database space. I know, I know. It’s their web site and they can do what they want. But deleting an active thread because you need web space? Explain why threads like “Endless Saint Louis Thread” still exist? Or why didn’t they delete threads with obviously out dated material in it such as “Official Schedule For 3/S NG 2003”? And don’t even get me started with the Lounge which is overflowing with NWS posts. And the War Stories thread… Please!

Seriously, I know it’s their site but if they wanted to free up space, why not delete all threads that haven’t had a response in 2 months?

I know I sound like a child but it bugged me more then just a little. And I know I am not alone.

That is why I built the Chicago Crew Forum. So we could have a forum that is ours. And we don’t have to worry about someone deleting threads even if they are active and being used by one of the largest groups in the 3S community. It’s not meant to replace this site, just this thread.

I’m done bitch’n now.

Its no 90 days old yet. The threads we not deleted manually they are deleted after 90 days from the start. Given this is the gatherings seciotn of the board that will gove pleanty of time to setup and have a local gathering.

The national section will get cleaned but, I'll have to do that manually because of the lead time required for large events I can't use a blanket rule.
