I have been at this for 2 weeks of straight work now and its not payed off yet. The motor works fine but there is a problem with wither the Rear Differential, Transfer case or Transmission and i cannot find out what this problem is. I have anything from an engine hoist, sawzaw, an extra tranny and an extra but bad t-case (bad seals gears are still good though) to my cousin who graduated from lincoln tech for Manual Transmissions who is helping out a whole lot but she can only know so much since she doesnt know car specifics especially the AWD system of 3000gt's. So if anyone could please help out i would be very very greatful. Im in Naperville if its not to far. Thanks,
Curtis

Is the engine IN? Car fires up ok? But just doesn't drive? Give us a few more details. Also, your cousin's name wouldn't happen to be Tara would it? Just curious!

Yes the Motor is in and everything starts ok and strong and nope no drive i srtongly belive it to be something with the transmission but i cant figure it out because we pulled it out 3 times and looked at it and this would be my 4th time pulling the tranny which is starting to get very boring work. I believ by what i looked up last night it to be the VCU because i purt it on 4 jack stands and tried to moe and the front wheels spin but not with much force at all because it wont move the car when on the ground and the back wheels dont spin at all. I have and extra tranny with good parts just the housing is cracked and the dog teth to 2nd gear is bad and i could replace the VCU but i just need to know what it looks like lol cause i dont have a clue as to where it is in the tranny or what it looks like. My cousin's name is Valerie.
Thanks,
Curtis

Curtis,

Have you checked the clutch? Could it just be that the clutch is fried?

Hey guys got the car back lastnight. Every thing is working fine andit drives nice with the new clutch. I can't believe how much lighter this clutch is then the RPS one i had and it grabs like crazy. As soon as I break it in i'm hitting up GRD to get it tuned so if any one wants to come along your more then welcome.

Now that its nice weather and I got the car back how about we have a get together at my place for some drinking, BBQ, drinking, fun, drinking, car shit, and drinking It would have to be on a saturday though.

Word.

Also, the vehicle I've been driving for work shat it's tranny out today. Screwed my day all up. It's an old Pontiac Transport minivan so not a big loss... probably not worth fixing at this point. But this means that I'm going to be driving the Stealth during the day... fun, yes... but poor gas mileage and better chance of getting hit... Dizamm...

poor gas mileage? from your stealth? hehe u still have stock injectors bro. I get about 370 miles to a tank right now....and my fillup is never more than 18 gallons....so worst case scenario I get 20.5 mpg. Not bad from a modded car, so you should do even better. Also, my driving is not all hwy now since I go out to buttfuck Crystal Lake everyday....it's half and half

Definately a MUCH better chance of gettin hit from all these idiots out in bumfuck Crystal Lake....also a good chance of running into some of these slow imbeciles....
